Are you Bored? Why not
try some Adult Board Games!
Adult board games can often be the perfect solution if you're finding yourself bored on the weekends. You used to get your entertainment by going to the clubs and pubs (let's be honest... you were looking for that special "someone" there)...
...but now you've met your match, settled down, and no longer have the need to be out bouncing around till the early morn'.
So what to do now? Well, as we ourselves have discovered, playing games at home is just one of the many ways to have fun together. Why?
Because it allows you to connect better than vegging out in front of the TV, gets the laughs going, and puts a little healthy competition into your relationship!
Call up a couple friends to join you, and you'll have more fun than you thought possible on a snoozy Friday night at home.
But with so many advertised adult board games out there from Milton Bradley and the like, which ones should you choose? Here's a cheat-sheet of my personal favorites.
Admittedly, most of them aren't quite as "adult" as some others you might find when doing a Google search - such as "Dirty Minds" and "Booze Tower," etc!. In fact, most of them are also good for families, but there are always ways you could make them "adult"! Just use your imagination!
1) Best "Fast-Paced" Game: Dutch Blitz
This game is definitely at the very top of my list for fun things to do at any given time. One of the best things about it is that it's so easy to transport. Andrew and I have taken it on loads of holidays and have ended up making great friends just by teaching and playing this game with random strangers. Fun times!

2) Best Game for Diversity: Cranium
This Starbucks family game-creation boasts a variety of activities. It can only be played in a group (2 teams), so make sure you invite your friends over. There's something for everyone in this game; whether you excel at trivia, music, art, spelling, etc. One tip: be careful when buying this game that you get the right "country version" (US or Canada), because it effects the trivia part. Sorry Americans, we Canadians have no clue who your 18th president was!
3) Best "Sneaky" Game: Uno
Like sneaking around or busting people? Remember to call other players on forgetting to say "Uno" when they have only one card left... they'll have to pick up two more cards, increasing your chances of winning. First player to get rid of all their cards wins the round.
