Sexy Chess? Yup!
Ready for some sweet sexy chess? Great! Most people have a basic understanding of how chess works: long and boring. But if you're looking for a way to spice it up a bit (plus get your neurons firing), you'll definitely want to give "strip chess" a try! All you'll need is a standard chess board... ...and maybe a few candles, dim lighting, and some mood music. A glass of wine won't hurt either ;) Follow the standard rules (they should be in the chess box if you need a refresher), but with one adaptation: every time you capture one of your opponent's pieces, you also capture a piece of their clothing, thus making it super sexy chess! Carry on this way and see where the night takes you!
Think of Sexy Chess in Another Way
You can also think of sexy chess in a completely different way than above. As a newlywed, one of the things you need to learn is that putting your partner's wishes above your own is sometimes the sexiest thing you can do (even if it doesn't directly result in a roll in the hay!). I'll give you a little example from Andrew's and my marriage: It wasn't long after we were married that I discovered Andrew's zeal for chess. It was his favorite way to unwind with me after a long day, and he wanted to play it ALL the time. This was fine with me at first, but I soon started noticing how LONG it really takes to play a proper game of chess (and he wouldn't let me throw the game just to speed it up). There are a million things I'd rather do than sit on my rump and play chess for two hours, so it started bothering me. I'd refuse to play, and small as this seems, it made Andrew feel a little sad... his playmate was gone :( I would suggest we do other fun things together, but no, it had to be chess. That summer we decided to go on a road-trip around our beautiful province of British Columbia (in Canada), and I was secretly rejoicing that I was about to get a break from chess... ...but little did I know that Andrew packed it in the trunk, and so every little rest-stop we took, and every little town we stopped in for a picnic lunch... out came the wretched chess board :) Not so sexy, right?! But I truly think that by me playing chess with him, Andrew felt loved, and this has made our newlywed marriage all the better for the long run. So whether it's "sexy chess" in your marriage, or something completely different that your partner likes to do with you, I encourage you to put aside your own ideas of a good time, just for a little while, and do what he/she wants to do. Your love will definitely grow from it.
A Little Tip for Sexy Chess
One little tip I'd like to pass along for your chess game is to look for a chess board that's magnetic. This way you can travel with it (if it's as much of an obsession for you as it was for Andrew :) ). We bought this little magnetic chess board as newlyweds a few years ago at the Bay in downtown Vancouver. We were there anyways buying a wedding present, and had already made the purchase and were heading out the door when I spied this little guy. We quickly lined up at the till again and bought it, and since then have had hours of fun with it. As you can see, it folds in half, and then when you open it, there is a drawer on either side where you can put the pieces when they're not in use. The magnetic feature makes this perfect to take on airplanes, in cars, and to have around little kids that might want to move your pieces a little too easily otherwise. So... let your mind run wild with all the possibilities for sexy chess, even if your "chess" happens to be something completely different!
