Romantic Valentine Proposals
So, you want some of the most romantic valentine proposals out there for your amazing girlfriend? Great idea… Valentines Day is definitely deemed to be the most romantic day of the year, so you really can't go wrong. The only thing you need to be careful of is covering your tracks well (if you want it to be a surprise). With the big V-day coming up, she's bound to be a little suspicious of what you've got up your sleeve for that day. So plan carefully, and be sure to use your best marriage proposal etiquette.
Valentine Proposals
- Give her a box of Valentine chocolates that has a few chocolates removed (to make room for the ring box inside). Ask her to sample a chocolate (to get her to open the box), and be ready to ask her to marry you as soon as she sees the ring box!
- Take her out for a special dinner at a classy Chinese restaurant. After dinner, give her a fortune cookie with a little "Will you marry me?" fortune inside (which you'll obviously have made ahead of time by steaming open a fortune cookie and placing your message inside). Be ready with the ring once she says yes!
- Give her a romantic foot massage (with candles, massage oil, wine, etc) and when she's got her eyes closed, put the ring on her baby toe. Tell her how much she means to you and ask her to marry you. When she spies the ring on her toe, she can move it up to her ring finger of course!
- Create a photo album of all the romantic stuff you've done together. On the very last page, write a note saying, "And what will the future hold? How about marriage?" Wrap it up in Valentine paper and give it to her on your special date.
- Buy a whole bunch of those little Valentine heart-shaped candies (the pastel-coloured ones with writing on them). Use them to spell out "Marry Me" somewhere she'll see them (like on the floor or table). Or just find the one candy in the pack that says, "Marry Me" and leave it on her pillow, in her car, or somewhere else very obvious. Be waiting in the wings, ready to drop to one knee and pop the question!
- Think of a gorgeous outdoor location (could be a beach, a look-out, a mountain-top, etc). Bring her there by driving, biking, walking, hiking, snowboarding… whatever. Once you're there, say something along the lines of, "I wanted to bring you to a spot that's almost as beautiful as you are to ask you a very important question: Will you marry me?"
- Buy a whole heap of those glow-in-the-dark stars and write "Will You Marry Me?" on the ceiling of her living room with them. Have a picnic dinner in front of the fireplace, and then finish off the evening by turning off the lights and asking her to lean up against you and look up… she'll see your sign and you can pull out the ring when she says yes!
As you can see, there are heaps of creative Valentine proposals, and these ones above are just a few appetisers to get your creative juices flowing. Think hard of what your girlfriend loves, and try to tailor your Valentine proposal to that. It's really not rocket science… if she loves the beach, propose at the beach, if she loves her cat, tie the ring to her cat's collar… just do something creative and unforgettable that she'll love!
Even with all these great Valentine proposals, make sure you and your girlfriend have marriage compatibility before you pop the question!
